March 17

On March 3 I was at dregs just before my big Crumbs Berlin or Bust show feeling pretty depressed. I was reading the book.

Apparently over christmas someone got together over the book. They were on their first date, feeling pretty apprehensive, and sitting together on the couch at the cafe. Then they picked up the book, started reading it together, getting closer together and supposdily they got together. Two months and still going strong. They both wrote a very nice entry about their first date in the book. It has to be one of my most favorite entries.

Unfortunately, two of the volumes of Penny for your thoughts, including the volume with these beautiful entries were stolen. I was told by employees that they were stolen today. They also lost two volumes of poetry

Nov 12

Journal has been missing from Dregs since I checked on Nov 9 and hasn't shown up again yet. Maybe it is under a couch.

I hope it will show up.

On Nov 9 read angst entry that was first pointed out by my friend Ron Moore before the improv festival show at dregs in late october. What an incredible entry. Was it the teen age angst that we all go through and that I embarassingly haven't gotten out of yet. She (I'm assuming the gender) sounded suicidal. I was worried. No contact info left. That could be a bad sign cause if you are serious, you don't tell people how to contact you

Nov 7

I am still amazed at the entries that show up in the journals at Dregs and how it really is display of all the emotions that humans go through, and how universal they are.

There was an entry about dealing with loss, and the loss of someone that you are in love with, and whether the pain of losing the person was worth the time that was spent with that person. I was just talking about this with my friend from kingston about things like that, and I myself was going through feelings like that.

Oct 22, 2004

The first book has filled up at Dregs so I left a second book at the cafe. I also left glue stick and photo corners, so people can a photo or something else in and write a story about it. In this way, they really are leaving a part of themselves in the book. Hope it works.

October 11 2004

I was looking the entries last monday and tuesday. I was really moved. They are really personal. They also show how similar we all are. There is even a 20 year old guy who like me hasn't kissed any one yet. I wrote an article about the book and have submitted it to the Free Press
